Florida’s capital city of Tallahassee celebrates the arts with an Art in Public Places program, which works with the city’s Council on Culture & Arts (COCA) to curate and install rotating and permanent exhibits in City Hall and other public buildings as well as publicly accessible outdoor locations. In fact, outdoor art abounds in Tallahassee, which visitors can experience by using the city’s Outdoor Public Art Map and COCA’s Downtown Public Art Walk.

Indoor art is special here as well, with venues including the FSU Museum of Fine Arts, the Railroad Square Art District and LeMoyne Arts, housed in two National Historic Register buildings. In addition to stellar fine arts and performing arts venues, Tallahassee is a major mural city, with standouts including the Rosa Parks Mural.
