Like Miami, arts and culture in Greater Fort Lauderdale is on the move and today includes art districts, festivals and a countywide $100-million art in public places program. Your clients will have their pick of artistic diversions, including the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale, featuring a permanent collection of more than 7,500 works, the Artspace Sailboat Bend Lofts and the exciting Flagler Arts and Technology District (FATVillage).

Meanwhile, at the Museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale, more than 20 hands-on STEM-related exhibits and activities engage one’s skills and expand one’s imagination. Visitors will discover the science behind aviation, understand the forces that drive hurricanes and meet ancient creatures that once roamed the earth. Then they can take in the mind-blowing visuals as they jump off the screen at the museum’s IMAX  3D Theater.

The Museum of Discovery & Science is home to the largest kinetic energy sculpture, the “Great Gravity Clock,” in Florida.

A celebration of diversity can be found at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center and the Island SPACE Caribbean Museum, while venues like the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and The Parker present on- and off-Broadway plays as well as dance troupes and concerts. The city’s art house theater, Cinema Paradiso Hollywood, is home to the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, and the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project features 30+ outdoor, contemporary murals by internationally recognized artists.
